What our parents and students love about StringTime

Amanda Lee, Parent

"I was in search of exactly this type of experience for my child’s introduction to cello. The teachers are passionate, and their enthusiasm shows in everything from the planning that went into the week-long program to the joy in their voices as they shared a summary of the activities at the culminating performance. They are highly skilled artists who also have a knack for connecting with young students; in one word, they are contagious —in a good way! :) My child was hooked…"

Ping-An Lee, Parent

"My daughter attended two weeks of the music camp and she absolutely loves it (as do we)! She learned so much during the two-week camp - in fact I think she showed more progress during this couple of weeks than her past six plus months worth of private sessions combined. All of the String Time teachers are skilled professionals and great teachers, and we will be glad to return for future sessions!"

Rachel Medefind, Parent

"I would highly recommend StringTime. My daughter is a total beginner with the violin. She learned an impressive amount in one week. She came home happy every day, thrilled to show us everything she'd learned. Lourdes and the team of teachers are very competent and create a beautiful atmosphere for learning. They ensure that children of various musical levels are all challenged and encouraged in their skills. By the end of the week of camp, the children had prepared a truly lovely 30 minute concert in company with the teachers. This program is worth every penny!"

Jennifer Craw, Parent

"I've sent my girls to dozens of camps over the years, but this one is my favorite. I was skeptical that one strings camp could work for both my girls, since my eldest has played for years and my youngest had never picked up a bow. But both girls had stellar experiences, with exactly enough rigor and support for their respective abilities. My youngest, initially skeptical of playing an instrument, has 'fallen in love with the cello'. And my eldest was challenged with music that stretched her skills and made her proud of what she's learned. This camp has great instructors who are able to give each child individual attention, ensuring that they are able to progress without getting frustrated. The games and free time were the perfect compliment to the music lessons. They love it, and I loved it for them."
