StringTime Board Chair Terry Thompson and I celebrated the successful incorporation as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with attorneys Mark Renaud and Hannah Miller of Wiley Rein LLP, who worked pro bono to help us achieve this milestone.

Because of Wiley's contribution to StringTime, we can now accept tax deductible donations and apply for grants to spark children's lifelong enjoyment of music through creative, playful, and educational string instrument camps.

This summer, StringTime is proud to host 6 weeks of camp for kids ages 7-12 in three locations across Northern Virginia: Burke, Alexandria, and McLean. We will have five weeks of violin, viola, and cello camp, and one week of guitar camp.

We don't require prior experience to attend and provide the instruments. We have a continuing track for those who already play. Students can come to one or multiple weeks-- many of them come for multiple!

Our teachers are professional musicians who have studied at top music schools including Berklee, Oberlin, and Juilliard, and on the world's greatest stages including the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.

At camp, StringTime students enjoy music theory, music history, games, private lessons, and play in small and large ensembles. Each day of camp is themed based on the musical eras and students study different composers within each era. Each session ends with a concert where family and friends are invited to celebrate what the kids have learned.

Music is such an important part of our culture and classical music needs both musicians and music lovers. StringTime is helping to create both. With your support, we can create the next generation of musicians and audience members. Make your tax deductible gift today.
